"...L.A. Sleeve KX450F (#3): Utilizing a different cam profile, the L.A. Sleeve engine had a distinctly unique personality when compared to the Crower-equipped bike. The L.A. Sleeve GH camshaft seemed better mated to the stock compression piston. It showed increased power throughout the range, but the most significant difference was the boost in hit, acceleration and top speed. Best of all, that burst came with a much smoother transition from slow to fast. The L.A. Sleeve GH cam was considerably easier to ride than the Crower Power cam..."
